Both the Q5 and Q7 Max Series get very good scores in our floor tests that test for bare floors, and they're particularly adept at cleaning pet hair. There are some issues however, which hinder them from being our first choice. One of them is that the Q5's navigation doesn't have AI-powered obstacle avoidance and is therefore prone to become entangled in shoes and socks and can't navigate rooms with a lot of people well in our tests. It also doesn't come with a camera that would let it see the corners of an area. It's still a good value for those whose office or home has a lot of bare flooring and you're looking to save money. It's also very quiet and can be used when you're at work or school. It lacks the edge-to-edge bare floor vacuuming feature that's available in the more expensive iRobot Roomba X30. It's also less effective at mopping, as it relies on disposable wet wipes that don't stay on for long and don't take on dried-on debris. The Q5 has an auto-emptying dock, however. If you're in need of it clean the mopping pad, it can be replaced with one that is wet in just a few seconds. 2. iRobot Roomba The iRobot Roomba X30 is a compact sleek and stylish vacuum cleaner that also has the ability to mop floors. Its intelligent cleaning maps and nimble navigation make it easy to clean, and efficient in tackling larger particles like pet hair. It also has a self-emptying bin, powerful suction, and support for virtual boundaries. It's the best robot hoover for carpets but it falls behind some competitors in terms of deep cleaning. This top-performing combination vacuum and mop uses advanced sensor technology to avoid obstacles and pet waste and it also learns the layout of your home over time to provide more efficient cleaning. You can modify its cleaning schedule and set up zones using the app that is well-designed. Its battery life is average when compared to other models. If the X30 Ultra is in a carpeted space, you can tell it to pull back and extend its mops. This can help avoid cross contamination. The flex arm can be used to reach beneath low-lying furnishings and along baseboards. It did a decent cleaning job on a variety of rooms and floors with various kinds of flooring, including certain area rug. Its obstacle detection was excellent and it stayed clear of fake dog turds, socks, shoes and bundles cables. It's a bit more expensive than the iRobot Combo v9+ and iRobot Roomba j9+, however, it comes with superior suction, a built-in dust bin that automatically emptys into its base, and also supports voice commands using Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant. It can even clean the floor after vacuuming this feature, which we haven't seen in other robot vacuum/mop combos. 3. IRobot Roomba X40 The robot vacuum and mop combination has a sleek, circular look that looks more like the regular Roomba model than the bulky units of the competition. It's among our most attractive robot vacuums. The newest model from iRobot happens to be its smartest and has advanced features like enhanced dirt detection technology and future compatibility with Matter (another company's robot that can autonomously wash mop pads). It's also the only robotic vacuum/mop that scored the perfect 10/10 out of 10 in our tests. This is thanks to the combination of high-tech sensors including a structured light system, camera, and a variety of lasers. The X40 Ultra was the only robot we tested that could fill and empty its basestation on its own. It also boasted an industry-leading suction of 12,000Pa as well as self-cleaning mop mops. Like other iRobot models, the X40 is user-friendly, offering an intuitive mobile app interface, and integration with Amazon Alexa, Apple HomeKit, and Google Assistant. The only drawback is that it's still quite a noisy unit which could be an issue if you use it in the morning before work or at night as you attempt to sleep. It's also somewhat expensive, though it's not as expensive as Ecovacs X2 Omni or Roborock S8 MaxV Ultra both of which are similarly capable and look better. This is a two-in-one vacuum that is very efficient however, it will cost you more and create more noise. 4. iRobot Roomba L20 Ultra The L20 Ultra is the top-of-the best robot vacuum and mop. It comes with a variety of features that are advanced and will make you forget about your chores. Similar to Ecovacs range-topping X2 Omni and Roborock's S8 Pro Ultra, the L20 is designed to be a hands-off cleaning machine that can take the care of mopping and vacuuming. It comes with a multifunction dock that automatically empty the vacuum's trash bin, refills its water tank, and washes and dry the mop pads. The smart robot employs an array of LIDAR and structured light to map out floor plans and spot obstacles, and navigates more effectively than its more expensive competitors. It also has a front mounted camera for real-time hazards detection however this was not 100% reliable in our tests and was sometimes confused with obstructions or power cords. The vacuum has a suction maximum of 7,000 Pascals, which is more than enough to complete the task. It also comes with an attribute known as “Intelligent Dirt Detection”, that regulates the vacuum's power and adjusts the frequency of cleaning for different areas in the house based on how dirty the areas tend to be. If you have a bigger home, it is worth selecting a robot that comes with spot or zone cleaning mode. This allows you to tell the robot which area of your home must be cleaned using the app or voice control. If you have furniture, a stair-mode is also a good option. For families that are busy, a recharge function and resume feature that permits your robot vacuum to resume where it left off could be extremely useful. iRobot RX3 The RX3 is more intelligent than its price would suggest. It is a good vacuum cleaner and picked up 55% debris in our tests. (It was second to the Roomba Q5 Pro). It also mops using one pad, which uses a reciprocating motion that is cleaner than the other robot mop cleaners we've tried. It's self-sufficient too, with a fully-featured app as well as an auto-emptying, washable base. The iRobot application is designed to help you navigate the mapping process which collects information about your floorplan and any “no go” areas you've marked on the map. It can be used to create cleaning schedules or to organize the spot-cleaning. You can also use it to prioritize your dirtiest areas to improve performance. The app also provides access to a variety of options, including seasonal suggestions, custom maps and advanced settings for your cleaning. Its shape is more rectangular than other robot vacuums, which means it can reach corners and under furniture more easily. It also has strong 8,000 Pascal suction and intelligent combs for pet hair. You can also set up a spot clean that intensely cleans a localized area. The Miele Scout RX3 Home Vision HD is a more sleek and cheaper alternative to the iRobot Roomba. robot vacuum best Robot Vacuum Mops has a more attractive design, similar to Dolce & Gabbana. The twin cameras are designed like cute eyes. It's good at vacuuming, but is more prone to be caught by low thresholds and is a bit louder than the other top robot vacuums we've tested.
